About
Basjia Almaan is a black Queer model, stylist, creative director and performer who is also apart of the Eora Ballroom community as a House of Silky child, sex siren, body and face Grand prize winner. She creates art to empower and celebrate the black femme body and to show how powerful and sacred all bodies are. As a curve woman whose movement is about expressing her sexuality and sensuality she also shares her body as a visual protest on how all bigger bodies deserve to feel sexy and sensual. This experience is an ode to the black womans body and it’s history through time, it’s endurance, strength, softness, sexiness and divinity.
