Matt Bergan

About

Mathew Bergan was born and raised in Sydney during the 1970’s. Pursuing a career in dance and performance, Mathew settled in London during the 1980’s where he ran head on into the queer subculture of the post punk movement. Mathew was lovingly spat on by the disorderly Leigh Bowery, Jimmy Somerville told him it was not cool to wear Union Jack printed socks, and had his first 3-way in the toilets of Taboo night club. Today Mathew is a writer, teacher, documentary filmmaker, embodied councillor, queer activist and mentor and producer of Queer Sound Healing sessions.
