Natasha Tontey is interested in exploring the concept of fiction as a method of speculative thinking. This investigation brings forward the fictional account of the history and myth surrounding ‘manufactured fear’ and how it determines expectations for the future.
Project description
Natasha is redeveloping Flesh Feast, a piece that she organised in Jakarta, 2017. Flesh Feast is a performative dinner in which participants are offered a strange and weird menu of ‘autophagy’ food. It explores the notion of fear, dinner guests discussing the history of anthropophagism while at the same time questioning the moral construction that oversees our life.
