About

Ena Grozdanić (she/her) is a writer, critic, and emerging artist residing on unceded Kaurna land. She’s also a Co-Director at FELTspace ARI. Ena’s writing has appeared in the Australian Book Review (upcoming), the Monthly (AUS), Frieze (London), Mousse Magazine (Milan), KRASS Journal (AUS), i-D (AUS), the Adelaide Review (AUS), and others. In 2017, Ena completed a writing residency at Can Serrat, Spain, where she wrote a number of experimental narrative essays responding to the theme of lost worlds. In 2018, as a member of KRASS Journal, Ena was a panelist at the Melbourne Art Book Fair, discussing the commodification of dystopia, the hysteria of Mars, and the alternatives to despair. In May 2021, Ena completed a residency at Testing Grounds (Naarm/Melbourne) with artistic peer Sally Craven to develop a video installation responding to the human and more-than-human stories embedded in river-systems. The video was exhibited in FELTspace (Kaurna Yerta/Adelaide) in July 2021. In March 2022, Ena held a solo exhibition at Cool Change Contemporary, ‘mo(u)rning rituals,’ examining how we might better understand displacement and process loss. Ena has an upcoming exhibition, ‘divine worlds,’ at Pari (unceded Darug land) which asks whether divination can be a liberatory practice? Ena is currently fascinated by the textures of time and the dynamics of memory, particularly in relation to lost worlds, shifting milleus, and disappearing landscapes.
