Luke is an artist living with Down Syndrome. When talking with Luke he describes his experience of creating as MOVE MORE | UNDERSTAND MORE- pushing the integration of Body, Mind and Heart - to the Edge of Possible. Luke creates wildly physical, naturally virtuosic, intellectually and emotionally engaging movement that examines the human condition.

Luke’s artistic journey started when he joined the Second Echo Ensemble in 2015. He created a lead role in the Ensemble’s production of the RITE OF SPRING which premiered at Salamanca Moves in 2016. Luke was also selected to present his own work at the Festival. In 2017 Luke was an artist in residence at Critical Path where he worked with UK artist Kate Marsh. Luke’s directorial debut BY MY HAND was presented at Dark MOFO 2018 and toured to Lonely in the Rain Festival in Finland. He has studied with Philip Channels in NSW and Hobart and participated in the Theatre Royal [Hobart] Young Ambassador Program. He has performed at MONA; MONA FOMA; Dancehouse Room to Move, Melbourne; Ten Days on the Island; You Are Here Festival, Canberra and Undercover Artist Festival.

In addition to his dance practice, Luke is a musician and photographer. His photography has been exhibited at Moonah arts Centre, Hobart Waterside Pavilion and Salamanca Arts Centre.

Luke was an Arts Tasmania artist in residence at Rosny College and is a part of the  Australia Council for the Arts Future Leaders Program. He is working on a new trilogy of works with Constance ARI, Performance Space, GASP! and the Rosny Taiko Drummers.
