Monica Rani Rudhar is a multidisciplinary artist working across video, sculpture and performance. Born to Indian and Romanian migrant parents, her work takes the shape of a restorative autobiographical archive that seeks to heal the broken links to familial and cultural ties. Her practice implores various modes of storytelling that aim to preserve personal stories as well as songs, traditions and rituals that have been dispersed by migration and the lack of documentation between generations. She also highlights the importance of community and bringing people together who possess diverse stories that share common threads.
