About

Natesha Somasundaram is a writer and performer across theatre and television. Their debut play, Jeremy and Lucas Buy a F*cking House, was nominated for Best Writing at the 2019 Green Room Awards. Their screenwriting credits include Heartbreak High (Netflix) and Upright (Foxtel). They were also a resident playwright at the Melbourne Theatre Company from 2017 to 2019. Their style has been described as “ludicrous and mind-bendingly smart” (Griffin Artistic Director Declan Greene on Jeremy and Lucas Buy a F*cking House).

A magnetic theatrical performer, Natesha has also directed their own work extensively, bringing a deeply collaborative and electrifying energy to their creative process.

As of 2025, Natesha continues to devise and perform original, chaos-fuelled cabaret acts. They have been profiled in Liminal Magazine and Film Ink and have published creative essays in Liminal Magazine and Headthreads Magazine.
