Nicol & Ford is an ethically produced demi-couture emerging fashion label helmed by Katie-Louise and Lilian Nicol-Ford in Sydney, Australia. With a focus on empowering the contemporary social deconstruction of binaries by revisiting and subverting traditional understanding of glamour and construction, the brand's debut Australian Fashion Week runway collection was exhibited in Sydney's Powerhouse Museum for its World Pride exhibition titled Absolutely Queer. Nicol & Ford's sophomore collection Comet firmly placed the label as “one to watch” among the emerging designers of the Australian Fashion Landscape.
Beyond fashion week, in 2023 Nicol & Ford collaborated with Darlinghurst Theatre Company to design and create the Sydney Theatre Award-nominated costumes for the Australian Debut of Natasha Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812. Straddling the fashion and costume world’s, Nicol & Ford continues to collaborate with select creatives across art form and medium.
