Eden Swan (She/Her) is a multi-hyphenate and a girlfag-ecogoth with a cross-industry, cross-disciplinary creative practise spanning Music, Theatre, Film, Design and Art across the past 10 years.
Eden creates surreal onstage worlds exploring the biology of loss and the psyché of terror through performance in both instinctive (experimental) and performative (theatre-based) settings. Positioning herself as a Fear Doula, she draws on her expertise as someone hypermarginalised (queer, disabled, mixed-race-diaspora, non-tertiary educated with a low-SES background) to create works that celebrate otherness as a specific act of healing and inclusion.
Eden has toured nationally and internationally (EU/USA/Asia - Singapore & Japan) and has performed at major events and spaces within Australia such as NGV, Fed Square, No Vacancy Gallery, VAMFF, MSFW and Midsumma, Melbourne Fringe, Earthcore and Gaytimes Festival.
Eden was a recipient of Creative Victoria's Creators Fund Grant 2022 for her current project "BODY PARADOX: IN/VISIBLE ILLNESS" and in 2023 will attend La Pocha Nostra's "Live Art Lab" in Merida, Mexico.
Eden is based in both Naarm (Melbourne) and Dja Dja Wurrung (Castlemaine).
