Bonnie Stewart aka Bonniesongs s a musician, improvisor and composer. She was drawn to Australia’s definitive sound in the creative jazz scene, and moved from Dublin to Sydney in 2012. Bonnie is regularly collaborating in the experimental improv and creative jazz scenes as well as folk, and alternative. Self-led trio Crossover features Bonnie on drums and vocals, while her solo project Bonniesongs combines voice, guitar, mandolin, loops, and percussion. As well as collaborating in improv projects such as Dulcamara, TQM4F1, Rebel Scum, Bonnie is involved with a large improvising ensemble called The Splinter Orchestra. Bonnie’s playing combines textural soundscapes, dynamic range and momentum. Her aesthetic includes experimental music, folk, rock, jazz and improvisation.
