Andrew Batt-Rawden is a sound-based contemporary performance artist from Sydney. The queerification of his practice began with experimental music composition transitioning to a music and movement performance practice which he now pursues within frames of queer culture, disability community and trauma-informed practice. Key influences have included Conservatorium music studies, informal dance and physical theatre pathways, as well as a diversity of collaborations. He has been particularly influenced by his partner Dean Walsh, who continues to teach and inspire Andrew in their shared making and facilitation projects.
