Adam Jones, is a queer artist specialising in ceramics, performance and special effects makeup. Recently, Adam’s tarot installation, Witch Working, was featured in Little Orange Goes Big, a major exhibition at Campbelltown Arts Centre (C-A-C). In 2015, Adam won the Disability Arts Macability Award for his work ‘Avalon Grimm’ (2017), 56 clay creatures from folklore rendered in rough-hewn textures, reminiscent of cast gold. In 2018, Jones created his own series of hand-drawn tarot cards for a live tarot-card reading as part of the C-A-C’s 30th Anniversary celebration. Adam’s tarot card performance featured again at Sydney Contemporary (2019), AGNSW (Hilma Klimt) and the C-A-C digital program ‘Tarot Tuesdays’ on Instagram. Adam has worked at Little Orange since 2014, a C-A-Centre studio for artists who identify as a person living with disability, d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing and/or Disabled Creatives.
