In 2023, Performance Space celebrates its 40th anniversary as it has led the dialogue nationally and influenced the shape of contemporary practice in Australia while remaining committed to its original mission of championing new modes and models of creative practices.

With celebration comes the time of reflection over our legacy and envisioning our future. 
Performance Space exists to nurture and champion contemporary culture’s most radical artists, practices and ideas, creating transformative experiences for artists and audiences.  

We need your support to continue nurturing experimental practice, think big, take risks, and support the development and presentation of new work of scale and importance for the next 40 years.
