On the final day of Liveworks 2020, the esteemed artist Brian Fuata will deliver an Apparitional Keynote Lecture. Fuata will bear witness to all the festival works: filtering the dreams, speculations, disruption and propositions presented over the five days of Liveworks through the unique lens of his artistic practice. Apparitional Keynote Lecture is a ghost lecture-performance that looks back on the week passed and speculates on the future we are moving toward: a moment to gather together and collectively imagine what's next.
Acclaimed for his ability to transform language and gesture into something strange and miraculous, Fuata’s practice includes live works, physical environments, objects, and visual ephemera. Don’t miss this opportunity to witness Fuata’s practice in motion, as we reflect on the possibilities and potential that lies within us, and ahead of us.
Duration 2 hours
Brian Fuata is shortlisted for the 2020 ANTI Festival International Prize for Live Art, organized by ANTI - Contemporary Art Festival, Kuopio, Finland, and funded by the Saastamoinen Foundation. Apparitional Keynote Lecture is part of Shortlist LIVE! Programme, funded by Kone Foundation.
