Welcome the weekend with a transportive sonic performance from e fishpool. e fishpool is a Budawang artist based in Long Beach, Budawang Country. Their work maps processes of unlearning and (re)learning identity through sampling sound, dialect and field recordings.

This intimate performance is part of the ongoing Knowledge of Wounds program. Knowledge of Wounds is an independent, Indigenous-led gathering space that is co-curated by artist and writer SJ Norman (Koori, Wiradjuri descent) and writer and scholar Joseph M. Pierce (citizen of Cherokee Nation).

Ticketing:
$5 - $20 sliding scale depending on what you can afford.

We are firm in the conviction that Indigenous people should not have to exchange currency for access to our own knowledge and cultural spaces. Rather than a set ticket price, Indigenous participants are invited to make an offering, in the spirit of reciprocity and mutual distribution of resources. Access to all events will be on a donation basis, with the donation amount to be decided upon according to individual capacity. If you have less, pay what you can. If you are financially resourced, and wish to support our work, we welcome a more size-able donation.

Duration: 60 minutes (starting from 11am AEDT)

This event will be held in-venue at Carriageworks, Track 12, and will also be live streamed online.

Knowledge of Wounds

Knowledge of Wounds is the collaborative curatorial practice of SJ Norman (Wiradjuri) and Joseph M. Pierce (Cherokee Nation). Seeing its first iteration in Lenapehoking/NYC in 2020, and currently operational as a hybrid live/digital program, K.o.W is continually evolving in its mission to foreground the work or Indigenous creators and knowledge makers across hemispheres and disciplines. www.knowledgeofwounds.com, IG: @ knowledgeofwounds
