It’s time to be queer together again, lovers. This year, while so many of our queer spaces, dancefloors and meeting places remain closed, Day For Night will beam directly into your house for an extraordinary night of queer performance, club music, loungeroom dancing and sacred revelry. We can still dance in our homes and this year Day For Night will bring the party to you, with some of our most beloved queer performers, artists, DJs and troublemakers reconnecting us, as we voyage together through the night.

Tune in from anywhere across Sydney or the world! Dress up, bring your A-game, turn your webcams on and dance together across space and time with queer family, via our superqueer digital channel. Reconnect with your body through a special club mix of Betty Grumble’s iconic Grumble Boogie; learn how to limb sync with Weird Nest; and marvel at Sidney McMahon’s stunning Day for Night installation…a little piece of it might even show up at your home. Special performances by Jamaica Moana and Demon Derriere will light up your house, Garden Reflexx will bring some cinematic wonder to your living room, and Stereogamous will get you on your feet, with an all-night DJ set…and there’s more to be announced. To top it off this night of queer excellence will be hosted by Sydney party legends Kelly Lovemonster and Stelly G.

The legendary Stereogamous (Jonny Seymour & Paul Mac) helm the Day for Night DJ decks all through the night, bringing you joyful queer music to get you up on that loungeroom dancefloor. Sydney’s angels of queer cinema bring a specially-created film experience to your screens every hour of Day for Night. Strap yourselves in.

Our amazing hosts Kelly Lovemonster and Stelly G welcome you to Day for Night and give you the lowdown on what to expect from this massive queer-performance-party-slash-loungeroom- club-night.

8:40pm: GRUMBLE BOOGIE

The iconic Betty Grumble will get you off your feet with a very special club mix of her legendary Grumble Boogie movement class. An all-singing, all-dancing celebration of our bodies, our collective body, and an invocation of the spaces we’ve been missing.

9:30pm: GARDEN REFLEXXX

The next chapter of Garden Reflexxx’s queer cinematic journey.

9:35pm: JAMAICA MOANA

The fierce and extraordinary Jamaica Moana weaves together dance, spoken word, video and music to powerfully reclaim her Maori ancestry and language. Do not miss.

9:55pm: IMBI 

We are thrilled to present a live set by queer musical prodigy Imbi fusing fluid lyricism, poetry, harmony and the raw power of their voice.

10:25pm: WEIRD NEST

It’s time to limb sync! Weird Nest (Dean Walsh & Andrew Batt Rawden) give the first of three performances bringing limb syncing realness into your space...take the workshop beforehand so you can join in!

10:35pm: GARDEN REFLEXXX

Our cinematic voyage through the night continues...

10:40pm: DEMON DERRIERE

Demon Derriere’s performances are fierce, mesmerising, tender and radical. Witness one of Demon’s AUSLAN solo dance works bringing sensuality, inclusivity and eroticism to your screens and loungerooms.

10:50pm: SEANN MILEY MOORE

The angelic and dazzling vocalist Seann Miley Moore blesses us with their spectacular voice, their powerful presence, and a lovingly-chosen array of music.

11:20pm: WEIRD NEST

Weird Nest return to the limb-syncing stage, diving deeper into this queer entanglement of dancing, music and bodies. This performance will be in response to the audience poll. Vote on the night at slido.com with #weirdnest

11:30pm: ASSassins

It’s time to meet the ASSassins! Demon Derriere’s troupe of big-bodied dancers throw down a dance performance to remember in a celebration of the power of all bodies.

11:35pm: GARDEN REFLEXXX

It’s getting late and we’re taking you further down the rabbit hole in this cinematic journey.

12:00am: WEIRD NEST

Weird Nest’s final performance takes limb syncing to new places, as Dean and Andrew slow down and get real close.
