Liveworks is PSpace’s flagship festival of live art. Happening every two years, it brings together the best of new, experimental and genre-defying art and performance from around Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. Liveworks is a gathering site for those that value risk-taking and experimentation, those that aren’t afraid of big ideas, and those that are ready to be moved by powerful and surprising art and performance.
In 2025, Liveworks takes over Carriageworks from 22-26 October with dance, sound, theatre, new media, installation, queer spectacle and free public performances. Featuring a massive line up of never-before-seen work and world premieres from Australia, Aotearoa, Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong and Japan, Liveworks brings genre-defying artists from around the Asia-Pacific to Gadigal land. Grab your tickets and soak up the atmosphere of exploration, experimentation and exchange.
Through acts of translation, technological mediations, political agitation, queer rumination - and a little bit of role-play, this year’s artists are concocting new ways to relate, summoning the power of the chance encounter, the alchemy of transformation, and feel of new languages in your mouth. Join them as they take stock of our troubled world and offer strategies to protest, to grieve, to regroup and to reach out across seemingly insurmountable distances and find a road forward. Liveworks is our world, but not as we know it.
