PSpace regularly partners with organisations from across Australia and the Asia-Pacific to develop and present world class live performance. Through these partnerships, the voices of experimental and risk-taking artists are amplified, reverberating around the world. Through long-term relationships with like-minded peers, PSpace champions sustainable careers for artists, creating a global community dedicated to our eras most exciting and important creative minds.
Current and past partnerships and co-presentations include:
PSpace, the Indonesian Dance Festival (Jakarta), and Dance Nucleus (Singapore) are collaborating to launch a new tripartite exchange program - Latitude. Latitude is a creative exchange program fostering cross-cultural collaboration and market development for contemporary dance between Australia, Indonesia and Singapore. The program draws on the expertise and networks of the three host organisations, and creates mobility for independent and experimental artists across the ASEAN region. To commence the program, in 2025 PSpace will host Singaporean artist XUE and Indonesian artist Razan Wirjosandjojo. In 2026, Dance Nucleus will host Australian artist Natalie Quan Yau Tso.
This new partnership between PSpace and Basement Theatre sees queer artists from across the Tasman supported to undertake development and exchange, with a view to co-commissioning and presenting new work. In 2024, Basement Theatre supported Raven Afoa Purcell to participate in its APPL program at Bundanon Trust to develop a new work with collaborator Sam Somerfield. In 2025, PSpace are supporting Kori Miles to travel to Auckland for a residency to develop their work WHO CARES!?, premiering in Liveworks 2025.
PSpace is partnering with Sydney Opera House as part of the inaugural Create Space Residency. The program champions experimental and interdisciplinary practice, providing a physical space for artists to further develop their practice across multi-art forms, to test new ground, challenge conventions and expand the boundaries of what is possible. The first residency in May 2025 supported Aliyah Knight and Solomon Frank, Alumni of PSpace’s Queer Development Program. In an intimate showcase, both artists shared their works in development.
PSpace are currently partnering with the Art Gallery of NSW to develop a new choreographic work for the gallery with Rhiannon Newton and Ivey Wawn. The work has undergone a number of developments and will premiere in 2026.
In 2025, PSpace are partnering with Soft Centre to support the development of a new work for Soft Centre at White Bay Power Station. Working with artist Fei Gao, PSpace have supported the development of a new work melding costume, choreography and sound.
In August 2025, PSpace supported the team from Arc @ Kudos to present Kudos Live JADE/D, the 2025 edition of Kudos’ annual performance art showcase featuring students from UNSW Art & Design, Sydney College of the Arts and NAS, Harrison Rae, Josie Kearney, Sydney Jarrett & Seren Wagstaff, Theo Lathouras, Wen Pei Low / 刘雯佩 and Will Naufahu. PSpace Artistic Director Kate Britton and Head of Programming Katie Winten spent a day mentoring the artists in the development of their work in advance of the packed out event.
PSpace was excited to curate Cementa Festival’s 2024 performance night in Kandos, regional NSW. Working closely with the festival curatorial team, PSpace worked with three metropolitan artists (Emma Maye Gibson, Tommy Misa and Marcus Whale) and three regional artists (Adrienne Kenefake, Judy-Ann Moule and Jude Bowler) to present an inclusive and revelatory night of performances at the Kandos RSL.
PSpace partnered with Biennale of Sydney in 2024 to present an early iteration of Tommy Misa’s Working Class Clown at White Bay Power Station. Following this initial showing, Tommy has undertaken further development through Arts House’s CultureLAB Residency, and PSpace’s APPL Residency. Working Class Clown will premiere at Liveworks (2025).
Across 2022 and 2023 PSpace partnered with HOTA Home of the Arts to co-commission and co-present two major new projects, Yuriyal Bridgeman’s A barrow, a sing sing and Brooke Stamp’s Mickey. Bridgeman’s work premiered at Liveworks (2022) before a major solo show at HOTA, with the work being acquired into their permanent collection. Mickey premiered at HOTA’s Underground Festival before coming to Liveworks (2023), and has subsequently toured to Rising Festival (2025) and Performa NYC (2025).
In 2024, PSpace partnered with Taipei Performing Arts Festival to co-commission Taiwanese artist Pinwen Su’s Leftover Market. The work premiered at TPAF in September before travelling to Liveworks in October. Leftover Market is touring extensively in Europe across 2025 and 2026.
