PVI’S BLACKMARKET: THE PUBLICATION

Posted on: June 24th, 2015

we believe it’s time to take proactive measures.
we need to create a new value system and in order to do this, we have to reject the old.
this may make you feel powerless and confused at first, but you will gradually become resilient and begin to discover your true worth…

To celebrate the success of a sold out season of pvi collective’s blackmarket, we are delighted to release a free digital publication to document and expand upon the ideas explored in this ambitious and vital new work. The publication features a commissioned essay by Rebecca Conroy discussing the politics of blackmarkets and the psychology of ‘end-of-world’ preppers alongside striking photographic documentation by James Brown capturing the action of the participatory work as ‘hustlers’ engaged ‘traders’ on the streets of Kings Cross at night.

This is your chance to gain further insight into this fascinating tactical-media work that made its world-premiere at Performance Space in May-June 2015.
