Rail
CarriageWorks is an eight-minute walk from
the Redfern Station. Redfern Station is
easily accessed from Central, Town Hall,
Wynyard and Circular Quay. Most lines travel
via Redfern including Northern, North Shore
& Western, South and Inner West.
Macdonaldtown Station is a 10 minute walk;
take the Inner West line from Central.
Newtown Station on King Street is a 15 minute
walk. Turn right out of the station then
right onto Wilson Street.
Take the Inner West line from Wynyard, Central,
Circular Quay or St James.
Buses
The closest stop is the Sydney University
stop at Codrington Street on City Road/King
Street. From Central, take the Newtown buses
422, 423, 426 or 428, as well as the 370
or 352.
Bicycle
Cycling to CarriageWorks
is easy as the roads are quite flat. Cycle
via theWilson Street bicycle lane. Ample
bike racks on site. |

Car Parking
Where possible, we recommend using a combination
of public transport, taxis or cycling toreach
CarriageWorks. If you are driving, arriveearly
to allow sufficient time for parking.
Street parking is limited. Unrestricted
on street parking is available in the evening
on the southern side of Wilson Street, between
Golden Grove and Ivy Street.
There are also a small number of unrestricted
spaces on Forbes Street.
Pay and display on-campus parking at theUniversity
of Sydney is open to the general public.
It costs $2 an hour, maximum of $6. Enter
from City Road, three blocks north of Wilson
Street via Codrington Street. |
