As well as scoring each Day for Night artist’s work, Stereogamous will take the helm for not one but four distinct parties that will weave in and out of the performances throughout the Day for Night: 24HRS weekend. These include:

The Day for Night All-Ages Dance Party: Saturday 20 February, 12:30pm-2:30pm

An alcohol-free, all-ages celebration with Jonny and Paul on the decks and special guest performers to be announced. Welcoming queer folk and their friends from all ages and walks of life, come in from the Carriageworks Farmers Markets for an afternoon dance and meet your family.

The Superqueer Saturday Night Party: Saturday 20 February, 7:00pm-12:00am

The Superqueer Saturday Night Party is the Day for Night party you know and love! 5 hours of incredible progressive superqueer music by Stereogamous for lovers and huggers to keep the dancefloor pumping into the night. Look out for a host of amazing guest performances, installations, surprise happenings and vocal sets.

 The Post-Mass Rave: Sunday 21 February, 1:00-2:00pm

Following Holcombe Waller’s stunning Requiem Mass performance, Stereogamous will build a micro-party to celebrate the lives and loved ones that make our queer community.

Sunday T-Dance: Sunday 21 February, 5:00-10:00pm

After Fair Day, come down to Day for Night, where an afternoon T-Dance will keep you buzzing (along with a cocktail or two!) into the evening. Stick around for Jess Olivieri’s final performance meditation at 10pm, and the last hurrah at Emma Price’s 24 H(OUR) DINER.

ABOUT STEREOGAMOUS [SYDNEY]:
Stereogamous (Paul Mac and Jonny Seymour) are the musical equivalent of a Mardi Gras that runs all year. They have remixed or collaborated with Kylie, Ngaiire, George Michael, Sia, Sam Sparro, Brendan Maclean, LCD Soundsystem, The Presets, Light Asylum, JD Samson’s MEN and loads more. Don’t hate them though. They are actually lovely lads who are more into dancing, hugging and staying up late than being sceneious.

Paul has scored films (“Kath & Kimderella”), co-written a score for Bangarra “BLAK”, and collaborated with more stars than the Milky Way (Daniel Johns, Ngaiire). Jonny is the cofounder of legendary Club Kooky, has scored for and performed with the Sydney Theatre Company and also collaborates with designers Dion Lee, Romance Was Born & Carla Zampatti and is a friend of Carriageworks. Together they have made music for exhibits for National Gallery of Victoria, the M.C.A, short film and site specific installations. They soundtracked Performance Space’s “Day for Night” performance art party and exhibition for the last two years and scored Force Majeure’s “Nothing to Lose” for Sydney Festival 2015.

Stereogamous are residents at Teddy Bears’ Sungay Picnic (Sydney) and Trough Party (Melbourne). They have played in backroom dance floors all over the planet (Berghain, Berlin. Razzmatazz, Barcelona.  Horse Meat Disco, London. The End Up, San Francisco) Mega festivals (Burning Man, Glastonbury, Lovebox, Subsonic, Vivid, MONA FOMA) Sound tracked fashion weeks (NYC, Paris, Sydney, Melbourne) and also represented at Gay Pride events all around the circuit (Folsom Street Fair, San Francisco. Sydney Mardi Gras, Madrid & NYC Pride).
