LIVEWORKS ARTIST LAB 2016

THE INAUGURAL LIVEWORKS LAB

This year, Performance Space had a new development initiative called the Liveworks Lab. Taking place in two parts, the Lab bought together artists from across Australia and Asia to undertake an intensive two-part residency program. This year Jeff Khan, performance Space Artistic Director was joined by co-facilitators Kee Hong Low (West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, Hong Kong) and Claire Hicks (Critical Path, Sydney), who all to supported a robust period of conversation, critical exchange, experimentation and making. Moreover, it was a thrill for us to be host an incredible array of artists from across the region, who are all experimenting across artforms to forge new ground in experimental practice.
